Word. While I'm not a conspiracy person, I do believe most things I could dream up - say, being able to track my users' devices, where they are, what they do with it...you know, like we generally do with PC's - can and will be used and misused by owners of said systems. If I was are a call service provider it would be very hand to know who what where is going on with said device for troubleshooting. It's very much a double-edged sword.
The *only* way to avoid any specific technology like that from being used on you w/out your knowledge is to avoid having it altogether. Similarly, today's cars store all sorts of data about your driving habits.
