No, as long as there were no issues with the promotion of this machine to a DC
and you aren't seeing any issues with replication, you can do it any time. No
need to wait.

Subject: Changing Schema Master

________________________________

Hi All,

I wonder if you could help please. Last evening I introduced an additional
windows server 2008 domain controller into my domain with a view to
decommissioning and replacing the current schema master. Are there any best
practices around how long I should let the new DC ‘bed in’ before I change it
to the schema master?

Thanks,
Mark
