Having run a personal mailman server in the past, I must agree with the general 
sentiment.

 * Having a list is a great value. Countless tips, tricks, fixes and laughs 
have come from this list.
 * Having a quick response can be extremely important. Conversations are 
clearer, and sometimes you need a quick reply.
 * Lyris vs Mailman vs Google Groups vs whatever: I don't care. It could be a 
custom script running on a hacked PS3. I just want it stable and reasonable. It 
sounds like Lyris is being unreasonable.
