Sure, balance the costs. I'm saying that a list like this becomes less useful with high latency. I'll go looking elsewhere. GFI then loses easy access to me.
I am appreciative that this list is free, but they receive benefits for hosting, too. Easy access to a diverse group of sysadmins where they can advertise some of their products. If GFI doesn't want to host the list anymore, I'm OK with that, I'll go looking elsewhere. If it's going to be killed a slow death because of thise vendor issue, well, I'll be rightly annoyed.
