Oh come now, that never happens....a system is blamed for irregularities that are wholly caused by misconfigurations of a different system...

The blame belongs to the people who implement "citrix" and blame "citrix" when it has nothing to do with "citrix". Hey when we implemented "citrix" our logons really slowed down. That is not the fault of "citrix". How come our "citrix" users are using a domain controller in China when they are in Dallas? How come when we implemented XenDesktop for x # of users, we now get x # of users * some random # of duplicate records in DNS (and WINS)? None of this is the fault of anything "citrix". This guy knew his stuff about slow logons and gave us a whirlwind tour of xperf from another customer engagement. Very cool tool. Unbelievable amount of detail about startup is available from it. I did a cursory search back then for something more authoritative than "this PFE told me" and found this http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa374350(v=vs.85).aspx I haven't had time to visit it further but one of our very sharp desktop guys is. The above is all null and void if you are planning on blaming AD for the misbehavior of Citrix :-p ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~ --- To manage subscriptions click here: http://lyris.sunbelt-software.com/read/my_forums/ or send an email to [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> with the body: unsubscribe ntsysadmin ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~ --- To manage subscriptions click here: http://lyris.sunbelt-software.com/read/my_forums/ or send an email to [email protected] with the body: unsubscribe ntsysadmin
