Error is failure to join wifi network. No error code and nothing in the event
log. I have update the driver through windows update and it came back as latest
available. Maybe I should try the acer site directly.
The laptop is an intel i7 with 4gb ram.

  What is the error?

What model laptop? What wireless chipset?

Have you tried updating the wireless drivers and utility to their
latest versions?
