As others have mentioned, it's usually very dry around here. But that doesn't 
meant we don't get the freak storm once in a while.

I am now looking into an option of using a media converter, as it might be a 
lot less expensive. Although I would have loved to be able to ping the device, 
just in case it failed or if it was stolen/vandalized. The purpose of this is 
to have a network available in this remote location on short notice, if need be.
