I can only carry 9 leave to the next year in the UK :-( If I am lucky I can "sell" some of my leave back to the company (generally I need the money more than I need the time off)

We can't carry over more than 45 vacation days to the next year. Sick leave has a much higher limit. I have never taken sick leave. If I am sick, I just take vacation. If I go elsewhere, I get paid for all the vacation! New employees start with 15 vacation days. It increases with length of service.
