Yeah I did that, I really should have read the forums first, because the attachment checking in Outlook is really a complete mess. Disabling made attachments not open at all because of the add-in. My option was to disable the addin on every machine manually, or change it to just scan a few attachments which I did and the problem went away, but what a headache. Im stuck with it for now, but Im going to talk to someone about returning it for something else.
