U still can do this with sysprep and slick scripting.


Sysprep can insert plenty mass storage drivers, then clean out the unused ones 
once it finishes.

As an example what I did with ris a while ago (applies here to): For inf 
updates and machine specific updates, you can script something that deduces the 
platform then runs a script to populate the registries runonce to install all 
the specifics.

OK, here we go…

Need to lay down an image on 3,000 customer laptops that will be used as 
“single purpose appliances”, however, the only thing they have in common, there 
all Dell.  My first thoughts are Acronis + UIU, however, I wanted to solicit 
some feedback from my favorite collective.
