You mean have the scanner attached to a computer (RemoteComputer), RDP into RemoteComputer from LocalComputer and scan? If so, yes. I've not used a document scanner but I did hook up my HP Scanjet G4050 to an old laptop and put it out of the way so I wouldn't have to listen to it or tie up my computer as it scanned in lots of negatives. I'm unsure of the client version though. I use VisionApp for all my RDP needs. Also, the scanner was attached to a Windows XP Pro machine, not a server OS of any kind.
