I have not seen that on any newer models of the HP scanners. I can only say that I saw that software on the SCSI attached HP's from many years back. I would think doing the remote share with an USB attached scanner would be very difficult to do. If I was looking for this type of functionality I would look at some of the SCSI or higher end USB models. All that said the last time I even saw that software offered with a scanner was when there were still a lot of Windows 98 systems in the market/hands of clients. I don't remember seeing it since that time period but then I have not been looking either.
