LOL well I figure if you had to sleep in a field, which most 13's and
11's had to, you deserved to do what you wanted without worrying about
others sleep.

Waay OT, but takes me back to firing four deuce "back in the day". The
4.2 is to mortars what the .50 Cal is to "rifles".

Q. "so you shoot the mortars like in the movies eh?"
A. "Not quite..."

Hell personally as a FISTer (13F) I would have been firing Arty day and
night if I could. Its was just sand, and hot as hell temps.

Sorry I might have messed with your sleep :)

Back in '90 over in the sand the 82nd Airborne liked to detonate
suspicious
boxes at around 1:30 am every few days with a .50 cal. Being in the
Marines
this was especially funny (Not) because we were already running on about
3
hours sleep anyways. Since we were providing them a place to eat, sh*t,

shower, and shave we decided to put their rations on hold until they
could
play nice nice with our sleep. They began detonating in the afternoon
after
about the 3rd day. It was petty I know but those things will wake you
up no
matter how tired you are, I am serious.
