Humm, time to call in a MB failure J

Well, actually there is two part numbers.
The very first 380 G5's didnt support the QC's (5000 chipset versus
5000p I guess). You also need a recent bios version. I had the first,
and even with the newest bios they didnt work :(

Non Quad Core Spare Part #:

407749-001

In the G5's the mobo's are the same for QC and DC.

I am trying to deduce if a new mobo in a DL380 G5 supports Quad Cores,
it is said it should be 436526-001. I don't have ilo access atm (not
configured), I only have rdp access.

 

Any ideas? I looked for an Intel Chipset identification util as the
original mobo should be a 5000 series and this one should be a 5000p but
it doesn't seem they make one for those series.

 

Any help would be great!
