Thanks.  I've tried creating a CNAME or HOST in DNS and it doesn't like
non local IPs.

If the website will answer to the hostname he uses...that could be
trouble. I posted this idea on his other post on the exchange list.
Probably better to toss the idea out for discussion here.....

 

I would put up my own webpage for this......   myredirector.mydomain.com
and have that page redirect them to the public IP address. Let's assume
that the public IP is   207.54.159.2

Add a CNAME to your internal DNS with the Public IP???

        Windows 2003 domain.  There's a website at a hosting location to
which I'd like to point domain users via a locally created DNS name. The
website does not have a public domain name but does have a public IP of
