Yup. Create a new Host "A" record in DNS.
Right-click on your forward lookup zone, new>Host record Put in "WhateverYouWant" for the name and then the public IP address. Also check "create associated pointer record". ________________________________ From: Stephan Barr [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of lists Sent: Tuesday, July 01, 2008 2:03 PM To: NT System Admin Issues Subject: DNS: I would like to point users in Windows 2003 domain to a public IP via a local DNS name...? Windows 2003 domain. There's a website at a hosting location to which I'd like to point domain users via a locally created DNS name. The website does not have a public domain name but does have a public IP of course.
