Thanks for the tip, but it's a moot point:
a) Symantec has already be excorcized
b) I didn't have the password for SSC and the password reset tools
didn't work, so I couldn't clear the attribute
c) CleanWipe can be automated in a batch file

Phil, I would do this,
SSC - right click the server - client ad only option tab - free
the attribute for ask for pswd on the uninstall
Create a batch or vbscript or use SMS or SCCM with a uninstall
of the item of MsiExec.exe /X{2085C617-589C-40F8-BE40-EDBC9E2CA2EB} /qn
/lv c:\logs\uninstall_sav_10.2.log
