I am not on salary as well but I can tell you how it goes in Italy. It depends on salary level . If you are a low(1-6) level salaried you get paid for extra hours .If you are level 7 or more every thing is more flexible, so if you have to complete a task you must do it. But if you are not so engaged you may come in the office one hour later with no problems
