Note, now that that E Series latitudes are out, they will probably be putting some big discounts on D630 and D830s, etc. Even a month ago, I was getting fully decked out D630's for about $1000. Can't complain with that. D830's, if you are willing to go with a bigger form factor, are even less, due to the lower demand. Sam

Having used lots of Optiplexes and a bunch of Latitudes over the last 10 years and having good luck with them and seeing some minor issues with Dimensions and Inspirons in domain situations, I was trying to decide between the Vostro and a Latitude. There is less than $100 difference in cost between the two similarly configured machines. Probably a well spent $100 right up front and likely save more than that in problems and downtime over the life of the machine. As for docking stations, this company doesn't need that at all.
