Also instead of rebooting the whole server try this from the command prompt Iisreset /restart

Their application developers regularly FTP new revisions of their custom LOB app to this box. The problem is that at least once a week they will get a timeout message and then get disconnected. Once that occurs the only way to continue working is to restart the server. I have never been able to recreate the original issue, and I can only see the aftermath.
