Ditto There are cheaper gigabit switches out there that advertise the abilities the OP requires, but the HP 1800 series is the only one that doesn't have some stupid asinine limitation:
Linksys "managed" switches can't be managed if you don't have IE6, and *if* it has a console port it can only be used to set the IP # Dell "web managed" switches (the PowerConnect 2700 series) won't let you assign an IP # to any VLAN other than VLAN1 etc. Joseph L.
