Dave,

These types of concerns are answered (mostly) by the Adobe Customization
<http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=3993> Wizard. Run
the Setup for v9, but don't let it complete. Dig the installer files out of
the temp folder. You will see a few files there, one of them is the msi.
Install the Wizard and open that file. You can disable all the marketing
stuff, pre-accept the EULA, disable the startup screen, adjust shortcuts,
etc., etc. When finished you save the transform. Now you can deploy using
the transform.

The only problems I've really run into is broken integration with Firefox
and some machines are disassociating Acrobat with PDF's. This isn't that
common and I deal with it on a case by case basis.

Subject: Adobe reader - replace w/ Foxit?

Has anyone her replaced Adobe Reader with Foxit reader for opening .PDF's?
v9x of reader is so huge and now comes with crapware that Foxit looks very
attractive. For my own uses I have replaced it, I was just wondering if
anyone else has done so for places with over 20 users or so?
