Subject: Re: Adobe reader - replace w/ Foxit?

If you deploy Adobe Reader 9 through the the vendor-provided MSIs - the
AppDeploy site has notes showing how to do it:
http://www.appdeploy.com/packages/detail.asp?id=1303 - there is no
crapware. Adobe's Acrobat Customization Wizard 9 will take care of
anything else.

Further, the size is misleading. Adobe Reader 9 loads and runs much much
faster than 7 or 8. It's not as fast as FoxIt, but more than good
enough.

The only thing I *don't* like about Adobe Reader 9 is the installation
size.

As for installing FoxIt... it will co-exist with Adobe just fine, and is
available as an MSI. My recommendation would be to push FoxIt via
software installation GPOs, then purge Adobe Reader 9 at your leisure.
Just don't forget to use ORCA (or some other MSI editor) to set the
ALLUSERS property to 1.
