Well, TVK had the right answer (DPM 2007 with a SAN in the backend); but
it's not the cheapest solution by far.

 

That's why I ask.

 

You can get really cheap disk these days. And yes DPM can do offsite
recovery.

I don't really have a hard and fast number. I'd have to throw it out there
and see if it sinks. Does DPM have the ability to handle off site disaster
recovery. For instance if our building burned down? I am looking for a
replacement for our tape solution.

Does anyone have any recommendations about Disk to Disk backup solutions.
This is something we're looking into for the upcoming year's budget and I
just wanted some input. We are currently using SDLT tapes.
