Is DPM a good candidate for backing up data over a wan link? like say
10Mbps? Can it do Delta/Block level backups?

It does D2D, D2D2D, D2D2T and any combination of those options. One
thing that is really nice is that DPM is DPM aware, so you can back one
server to another with very few clicks on the 2nd server.

I'm looking more for a tape replacement device. Something I can take off
site to have with me in the event of disaster recovery. Does DPM offer
something in that regard?

I used DoubleTake prior to DPM. I prefer DPM and find it to be
particularly more resilient in a WAN or offsite environment.

I use EMC Retrospect, but I don't like it. It has issues and is
unreliable.

I've used doubletake from Sunbelt and it worked pretty good but that was
years ago.

Does anyone have any recommendations about Disk to Disk backup
solutions. This is something we're looking into for the upcoming year's
budget and I just wanted some input. We are currently using SDLT tapes.

Thanks,
