it finds the addresses and aliases correctly.

I even did a dnsflush and registerdns

I'm waiting to hear back from the site admin in North Dakota, so for
now...I'll leave this alone.

Thank you all for your comments.

How about a DNS issue? What does NSLookup do for you?

Thanks,

Ok...so I even started doing some further testing with this. I searched
on the web TV stations (scattered around the US) and typed in their .com
site, holy moly! Low an behold, the freaking website came up! But if I
go to hotmail, msnbc, or cnn (NOTHING) what the !!!! then I said, maybe
a rule on the pix (NOPE)

I'm puzzled

Is there an proxy in effect that might be doing user based blocking?
Did an admin just block *.com from a standard user?

Thanks,

A generic account logins into a Terminal Server and opens up the IE,
types in .com site and receives an error that the site is not reachable.
But if you go to any other site for example a: .biz .uk .org you can
access the site.

Now if I login as the admin, I can go anywhere on the web.

TIA

Thomas
