You would have to buy several [and wire them in parallel...]
My experience of the Acer One Netbook was of much frustration. *Very*
slow overall performance even with 1GB RAM. Interestingly, the machines
came loaded with Linux. Client wanted XP on all of them and after doing
a retail load, we ended up with bollocks. The client was not happy with
the end result but (un)fortunately, they had bought the 15 cheaply.
On the plus side, they were very neat, sufficiently large enough to type
on comfortably, all the normal ports and the screen was bright and clear.
On spec, they shouldn't be slow but then I don't know the Intel Atom
CPU. Anyone else see this?

Have you looked at netbooks? If you're looking for something to just do
basic documents or spreadsheets & surfing, they are a very viable option in
my opinion.

Hi Folks,
Sort of off-topic. I'm looking for a light laptop for home/work use. My
wife is a college professor and she currently has this enormous (heavy)
laptop she lugs to work to connect to the smart carts. She needs a new one,
and I'd like to get her a light unit that she can use at work but also at
home (so screen can't be too small). I'd like to keep the cost below $2k.
At work I purchase Lenovo X series for staff and they are pretty nice, but
at around 5.5 pounds a little more heavy than I'd like.
Suggestions appreciated. I'm most used to Dell, HP, and IBM/Lenovo. So
many sites review laptops and none give the same ratings of course.
