Dell just came out with their Inspiron Mini12 - my boss bought a Mini9 when it was released for his chess "workouts". He's quite happy with it.

At work I purchase Lenovo X series for staff and they are pretty nice, but at around 5.5 pounds a little more heavy than I'd like. Suggestions appreciated. I'm most used to Dell, HP, and IBM/Lenovo. So many sites review laptops and none give the same ratings of course.
