You will need to make the Vista partition invisible to XP. XP restore points
will corrupt Vista restore points.

Subject: Question on duel OS booting

Greetings!

Workstations here are all WinXP Pro, are DHCP clients, and belong to a Windows
2003 "Native" domain.

I just happen to have unassigned space on my system drive, and I just happen to
have a Vista Business install CD (properly licensed and awaiting installation).

SO, as the DHCP client gets its lease based on its MAC address (my machine has
only 1 NIC), how might I go about installing Vista and having it function
properly in the network (without damaging the status of the alternative XP
installation)?

NO, I will NOT set it up as a VM on my desktop system - I did that once, and it
was simply offal!
