Along those lines IPCop with the Dan' Guardian web filter or squidguard.
Works well, easy to administer and free.

Run a linux box with Squid proxy service? You provide the hardware and
the
O/S is free. I'd be happy to try and find a Linux users' group in your
area
who would likely be happy to help out for free. A little research and it
looks like the closest LUG would be the Mid-Willamette Valley Linux
Users
Group or possibly the OSLUG, Oregon State Linux Users Group.

Do any of you have experience with the iSentryIII Content Filtering
appliance? We're looking for content filtering alternatives to WebSense.
We're required to run filtering (thank you, CIPA!! - not!). Any pluses
or minuses you experienced would be helpful. Also, any inexpensive
alternatives (we're a non-profit children's mental health organization,
with about 100 users on a bonded T-1 Internet connection).
