Our system has an off site disk subsystem also that replicates the changes on
off hours between the two disk sets. If the primary one in the main building
goes, then we still have the off site one with all the data on it.
We also spin off two tapes once a month for long term backup and send those
to a safe in another location. These are LITO4 tapes.
We can keep just over 1 year of daily, weekly and monthly backups on the
systems (I think there is like 5.9 gig of raw disk space on the disk
systems). They use a de-duplicating so we are getting about a 30 to 1
de-duping storage on the disk subsystems.
