*shrug* I can only tell you that we use our in-house guys to run all
in-house wiring. I suppose if there were any wiring to be done, they'd be
the ones to do it. So far, I've been lucky and haven't had to do much. I
will say that when we upgraded our PBX recently to an IP-capable system,
that the vendor ran the wires from the PBX back to the IP switch, but they
were the only vendors to do that.

When I worked for an ISP a few years back, whenever we ordered a dedicated
T1 for a customer, the LEC would run a cable from the pole to our DMARC and
we'd handle it from there.

Subject: DMARC to Office Install

Is it normal practice of the ISP to have the customer hire and pay for a
3-party technician to run a feed from the DMARC (basement) to our
office/rack area?

Never seen it before with the few ISPs I have worked with...

Just checking...
