I have yet to see a mainstream antivirus management console that didn't suffer from trying to do too much. Both Mcafee and Symantec suffer from this, in my opinion. I just want detection and updating for my clients without all the network scanning/application whitelisting stuff they try and shovel on top. I am hoping Vipre may be a bit better, as I am trying to get my boss to test this at the moment, but the fact that our other defense mechanisms leave SAV not much to do is contributing to the (incorrect) impression that he has, that Symantec is doing a good job.
