Are you installing ESX or the free flavour of VMWare? The Windows-based
free version is a little sketchy when it comes to reliability as I
remember...

We have 2 x Dell servers

Dell poweredge 2950
3 x raid 5 drives 1 x hotspare each disk is 73gb
The machines are using the internal Dell perc5i integrated raid
controller

Both have the same problem
When installing VMWARE and creating a cople of virtual machines once
these are running the server seems to freez for upto 2 minutes then
contines processing, of course this causes problems I am curious if this
has happened to anyone else
