I knew between my age and the severity of my poor vision, I would not qualify for LASIK...
My final pair of tri-focals cost over $400. In 6 months, they were no good... Each eye was seeing triple! Cataracts replaced with implants, and I now can read that bottom line on the charts. In fact, my distance vision is better than I can remember it being for most of the past 50 years - even with new prescriptions. I can't read much of anything closer than 4' without readers. Then again, at $6 a pop (Dollar Tree has readers for $1, if I don't mind thick pink plastic frames!), I can have a pretty good supply of cheap readers for that $400 I'd spent. Ophthamology is a wonderful thing! Perhaps some day, they can find a good solution for you as well. -- richard "Todd Lemmiksoo" <[email protected]> wrote on 09/18/2009 02:10:03 PM: > Good for you Sherry!
