OK - then:

a) remove Everyone from the NTFS permissions, and give the relevant
users/groups NTFS Read permissions.

b) Disable Anonymous Authentication in IIS. Enable one of the other
options (like IWA, or Basic if you are using SSL. Digest is not available for
local user accounts)

Just a plain jane html site.
I will begin the testing of permissions on dumb accounts in local users and
groups and on the site where the users will be accessing.

If this is .NET, then there is functionality to define users entirely within
.NET (e.g. stored in a config file)

If this is not .NET and is just native IIS functionality, then you can
certainly just create local accounts. Adjust NTFS permissions appropriately.
I'm sure you know where to look to create local user accounts and local
groups...

I want to make a user based login to a IIS 6 website.
I want to disable anonymous and not us AD but local users, manually configured
to this site.
It is for my board and I am giving each of them local user accounts??
to access this website.
But I don't know where to look for setting something like that up.
