I don't have FiOS myself (I live in NH, where Verizon pulled a "we're taking our ball and going home" move) but I know people who do, and they love it. Similar quality to cable, but with more bandwidth for less money. In particular, the upstream bandwidth is much better. The ONT (Optical Network Terminal) is powered by premises electricity, not the network, same as cable company CPE. Many units include a battery that's good for a few hours. Some report the battery will only power phone (not data/Internet/TV), though -- this may vary by location. Customer treatment sucks for both Verizon and Comcast. For phone service, it's totally different than POTS, but that doesn't apply to you. -- Ben ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~
