I am not familiar with the per user CAL only machine CALs. I'm reading up on it now from the links sent to me by Richard earlier. Its been a rough day, our company has a huge fundraiser this time of the year and I'm super swamped with non IT related issues. ----- Original Message ----- From: James Rankin To: NT System Admin Issues Sent: Monday, November 23, 2009 3:35 PM Subject: Re: TS CAL Issue
Stupid question....Is the licensing server and the license type option set correctly in your RDP config? I tend to push this via GPO.... 2009/11/23 James Kerr <[email protected]> Soooo, I have a recently setup 2003 TS. The server was using temporary CALs up until some of them have expired. The server isnt issuing any of the per users CALs that are installed on the licensing server, which happens to be the same server. Licenses server shows as being active, and I can see that there are per user CALs available but it hasnt issued any of them. Anyone have any idea why?
