OK, I changed back to http port 80 and tried the "no shut Vlan1", but that command was not successful. It requests <2-1001> VLAN ID of the VLAN to shutdown

If you can't telnet to it, then you need to set an access password on VTY 0 4...but I prefer SSH instead. So something like... I have already assigned a VLAN1 ip address with subnet and a default gateway. I have assigned a different HTTP port. Unfortunately, that is where I sit and am still unable to connect via browser.
