I'm not sure at all. When I login to my home machine remotely I get the same thing. I know that at the console you can switch to another user while keeping the original user logged in. I think I must have misunderstood D. Lum's post and assumed it was in the context of RDP like the one to which he replied. It's all his fault.

I just RDP'ed in and attempted to log on with a different account and got the "local user will be logged off to continue" msg.
