Symantec Endpoint Protection is absolute dross as a product. We used it for years and I had to campaign to get shot of it. It uses vast resources, is a nightmare to remove, the management console is as clear as mud, and it doesn't have a great record of stopping malware. I know this is a thread we see time and time again, but I think Vipre is the way forward at the minute. Compared to SEP it is a breeze to install and manage and it flagged several trojans on some of our workstations that Symantec had apparently scanned and missed.
