My boss used to work for Norton years ago and because of that I have to
deploy the SEP suite to numerous clients. My advice? Go with ESET's NOD32
instead.
The SEP suite is a huge resource hog, has a lousy interface with
non-intuitive deployment requirements, doesn't catch as much bad stuff as I
think it should and is generally a PITA.

The NOD32 managed app takes less than 10% of the resources that SEP does,
and the first time I set it up I had it fully functional and deployed in
less than 2 hours. We usually quote a minimum of 4 hours for a Symantec
deployment.

Most of our clients are small-to-midsize businesses, and the deployments are
usually 100 seats or less. I don't know how NOD32 scales beyond that. No
experience there.

I did have a relatively flawless deployment of SEP recently, though. One out
of maybe 30 or so...

That's my experience with it...
