Just to be clear, are we talking about Adobe Flash Player or Adobe Shockwave
Player, since they get confused very easily.  Flash Player is used by lots
of websites, Shockwave not so much.  I wouldn't expect to push Shockwave in
a business environment, might even banish it altogether if possible.

 

If it's Flash Player, I've noticed that 10e will replace or uninstall 10d,
but prior to that, previous versions weren't removed.  Removing the old one
is as easy as deleting the flash10d.ocx or flash10c.ocx, etc.

 

As a best practice you do want old insecure versions removed.

If I install the latest version of Shockwave Player and don't uninstall the
old version.anyone know if the machine will automatically use the newer
version? Pushing the new version via SMS is easy. Removing the old
