If I look at my home service, 24 Mbps down and 1.5 up, is running $65. That is pretty cheap, but still a LONG way from 100/50 Mbps. I am really curious what the government feels is "affordable access"? It would seem that only businesses would pay more than $100/month for service, but a business would require some type of SLA. At my office, I COULD get 100 Mbps service, but have no idea what the price would be. Considering 3 Mbps service is costing me $530 for a business line, I would not even want to consider the price.
