Well, that would be bad if that happened, because “no AV company will catch
everything”, and a merger/acquisition would result in “one AV company”.
There should be a corollary to Finagle’s Law about that, or even the
better-known Murphy’s Law.

Good idea to hook up with MB. They have a flawless reputation on the ground
level among admin as the goto place to clean crap when the big name AV company
cant. I wouldn't be surprised if they get picked up by MFE or SYMC by the end
of the year. Or maybe add them to the Sunbelt portfolio ?

You'd be surprised at how many people don't know about Malwarebytes (even I was
surprised). I think it's also good to partner with this very smart group of
people who are doing good work. Also the partnership includes more than just a
website.

:major confusion:

What is provided by the partnership that wasn't readily available previously?

-or-

What disadvantage would customers suffer if there was no partnership?

Tacit? Heck, I'll just say it: No AV company will catch everything.

Not partnering is just doing a dis-service to your customers.

Oh, I just realized it's more than just marketing/advertising. It's a tacit
admission by both companies that their own products might miss something. No
surprise to most of us.

Isn't Malwarebytes for scanning/cleaning already free? Is there any
functionality here that wasn't easily possible before? Looks like not much
more than a marketing/advertising partnership.

Does anyone know if the Malware Bytes download referenced on that page is truly
free for all to use like VIPRE Rescue is? I’m specifically interested in
corporate/business use.

Greetings!

As so many of us tend to use MalwareBytes in addition to VIPRE and other apps
to deal with infested systems, it seems Sunbelt has intered into a partnership
with them:
