I do pro bono work for a small, non-profit K-8 school. They wish to finally
install their first server for the next school year, and I've set them up
with a Hyper-V Server 2008 R2 host (the free OS) with guest machines doing
the actual work. I've got everything working just fine, but I would like to
know if there is a convenient and free way to monitor the nightly backups.
I've created a backup schedule using wbadmin to write out to a second disk,
but since I'm not on site every day it would be ideal to have a copy of the
backup report emailed at the completion of each day's job. I know I can
grab the contents of the log from C:\Windows\Logs\WindowsServerBackup in a
separate scheduled task, but it would be great to have it all tied up neatly
in a single process.

Anyone have any methods for accomplishing this?

Thanks,
RS
