VP is taking a copy of the museums data. ( Are those tapes encrypted?) ( If not you are looking at a Information breach very soon, and why does the VP need to take the tapes home, why not contract to Iron mountain or put in a safe onsite to hold those tapes and rotate them accordingly)
Food for thought, but the VP having a copy of all the Museums data isn't the best idea, what if he leaves, he just left with all your data accordingly, take it to the next competitor ( I dunno if that is a high-risk) but the information on the drives definitely might have proprietary or sensitive information about your organization, that honestly, the VP really doesn't have a legit reason to take outside the confines of the organization. A vice president of the Museum likes to take a copy home regularly in case our machines blow up... But now we have nearly two terabytes of data. Tape drives go up to 1.7 T's, but I can only find libraries going higher. What other options do I have, so the VP can still take home a copy of the data? Extra HDs take so much time. ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~ ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~
