The maintenance manager said something about needing it monitored, so that
would imply that it has to be wired or wireless, even if it's not networked.
My preference would be for wired as we are in a big metal building and
getting a wireless signal into the building would be "iffy." OTOH, that
wiring a camera would be an invitation for lighting to come down the wire,
so... :-)

Did I imply that it needed to be networked? I was asking if he _wanted_ to
use an IP camera. Analog cameras are a valid option as well.

DVR isn't necessary, either... depending on his needs. Many cameras will
record to a local to the camera SD card now. If something happens, retrieve
the SD card and see what it recorded.
