He has about 20 workstations. I went ahead and made one machine the browser and disabled on all the others browser service and its all good now, through the miracle of technology and the ntsysadmin list, the XP machine can now browse the network and the other machines can now see the XP box. Thanks for the help guys, I was getting nowhere on google and getting frustrated.
