I missed that fact.  If you were to open a case with HP the first steps they
will have you do after sending logs and such is to update any outdated
firmware and HBA drivers, so you might as well start there if you haven't
done so.  If you are already running the latest firmware and drivers, open a
case with HP support and they will help you get to the bottom of this.  You
can check the documentation on HP's site regarding the self-termination
question.
